Did you know there are only approx 415,000 African elephants remaining in the wild? These magnificent animals have a lifespan of 60-70 years, weigh 2-7 ton, and their size is up to 4 metres or 13'. The female elephants, the cows, give birth to only one calf every 3-6 years so the elephant regeneration rate is 5-6% annually.
